Wish & Shoes is an upscale boutique offering a carefully curated selection of women’s clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories. We pride ourselves on bringing unique and exclusive styles from talented American and European designers. Many of our pieces are crafted specifically for Wish & Shoes, ensuring a distinctive fashion experience and providing our clientele with one-of-a-kind fashion that stands out.
Rachel Gottfried started her career in the telephone interconnect business with her own company that grew to install and service such places as the Miami Arena. In fact, her company was the original “official telephone company of the Miami Heat.” Her entrepreneurial skills and being a New Yorker led her to find her niche in the fashion industry. From selling clothing from a warehouse in Boca Raton, FL in 1989 to becoming a stylist with “No Time to Shop” a mobile one stop shopping experience that caters to fashionistas with personal style dressing. We have many customers that all know Rachel as “the lady from the truck”. Though the truck is gone, No Time to Shop continues to thrive as a service business with fashion consulting and personal styling to busy executives and women who simply don’t have the time for in-store shopping.
The brick-and-mortar business began when the Wish Apparel store opened on Jog and Lake Ida in 1999. In 2011 she moved her store down the street to the Shoppes at Addison Place which grew to about 5500 sq ft adding an entire shoe department in 2012, hence the name Wish & Shoes. We expanded beyond South Florida in 2019 as we opened in Highlands, NC, a resort town in the blue Ridge Mountains often referred to as the Aspen of the South. Our newest location, and 2nd North Carolina location, opened in September of 2024 in Cashiers, NC, which is a neighboring town to Highlands.
Wish & Shoes, and our personal shopping, continue to be a staple in South Florida and around the country.
Beyond Our Story
- 1999: The first Wish Apparel store opened at Jog and Lake Ida, establishing our presence as a premier fashion destination.
- 2011: We moved to the Shoppes at Addison Place, expanding to a 5500 square foot space and adding a dedicated shoe department in 2012, enhancing our offerings.
- 2019: We continued our expansion with a fourth store in Highlands, NC, bringing our unique fashion selections to a new region.
- 2024: Opened a second store in North Carolina, located in Cashiers, marking our continued expansion into new regions.
